Dear all,

I would like to simulate reactions of intracellular Lipid Droplets (Micelles filled with unpolar Triacylglycerols and emulsified by monolayer of phospholipids) by generating micelles consisting of the same lipids in vitro.

I have optimized a protocol for their generation and could determine size (dynamic light scattering and fluorescence microscopy), absorptivity (OD600), the structure (whether if liposome, bicelle or micelle based on fluorescence and UV/Vis) and the molar constitution of the liposome (by quantitative thin layer chromatography).

Since i want to perform kinetic studies on those micelles it is critical to know the micelle concentration in solution. That means i need to no: How many micelles are in solution? (expressed as Number(micelles)/mL,...)

Is there any measurement that i can perform? Or is there any correlation between already performed measurements and the concentration?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best

Mike
