From diffusion NMR (DOSY) experiments, diffusion coefficients are available for ~40 AA disordered peptides. Is there a method to calculate the molecular weights using these data, that is suitable for these highly unstructured molecules?
Dear Tamas, another maybe more naive method is to aquire COSY/TOCSY and count the NH-a cross signals (without full assignment) which will give you the number of Amino Acids in the peptide.
If you multiply this number by the "average weight" of amino acid yous will be close to the MW. This will of course only work if aggregation can ruled out.
