I have a number of different wines, each analysed in triplicate for volatile compounds. I apply Kruskal Wallis to determine if the amount of each molecule differs among wines (comparison of mean values by the analysis of the replicates) (e.g. amount of the ester ethyl hexanoate). Which analysis may I apply if I want to compare the sums of the different classes of compounds (for example sum of esters among wines)?
