I've been working on the incorporation of photosensitizing dyes into solid-state films, and have been attempting to analyse them for singlet oxygen generation using a chemical trapping method. However, both of the commonly used 1O2 sensors, diphenylisobenzofuran and 9,10-dimethylanthracene, decompose when exposed to light for long periods of time in the absence of the film. Are there any alternative, light stable sensors that can be used for this? Or a different method that can be used?
