this happens when you image the source area to the wall. You can avoid it by Köhler illumination.

Hi Henning, the chip imaging is so annoying. It seems reading the beam pattern alone would not make me predict the illuminance distristribution on the wall. Is there any accurate way of prediceting the illuminance distristribution?

Hi Steven, if you want an accurate forecast of the target distribution you should use raydata of the LED.

Steven Ou LED design have many factors to be considered and these depend on various applications of the light, colour and temperature and few factors depending on the brightness and efficiency are also tdecided beforehe designing part.
