In most of factories we have different systems and devices, as an example, in a procelain factory we have different furnaces, ball mills, presses and etc...
Also in most of factories the proceture of production is not completely automated. Some of them are done by human labor forces.
What I need to know is that how can we design a mpc controller in order to improve the overall production of the company?
An efficiently functioning mpc controller could significantly improve the logistics of the production process in many companies operating in various production sectors.

An accurate model for the process should be designed first. Depending on the nature of the system, you can design the structure of the model. To learn and testify the model parameters, you need to get input-output data from the system. You can design models based on fuzzy and neural networks as it can perfectly simulate most of nonlinear systems. After that, a model predictive control can be designed based on the obtained model.

but how often MPC strategy used in industry. I mean is it a regular method in industry? I have not seen it in many factories that I have been working with.
One thing that is obvious is that this method can improve the production and performance in industry, but why it is not popular method?
