I'm writing a thesis on development of business model for a wealth management based e-commerce business. In that I have one sub research question as Identifying Critical success factors for both the industry (Wealth Management as well as e-commerce). I am planning to do gather data via Interviews.
Therefore, I would like to know who should be approached in situations like this (Manager or Director or Executives)? Second, How I can get the interviewee to answer the critical success factors responsible for his/her industry?

In general, we can say that Critical Success Factors (CSF) entail 5 pollars:
- Strategic Focus (Leadership and Management)
- People (Human Resources and Training)
- Operations (Processes)
- Marketing (Customer Relations and Sales)
- Finances (Assets and Allocations)
In my view, eCommerce industry and wealth management are two topics all together. I am not sure, if you intend to study success factor for wealth management business through ecommerce channel !
For wealth management success factor, one should clearly define what success factor means and than interview all stakeholders including customers, potential customers, or those who do not want to opt for this and understand why? Interviewing Director, Manager or executive may give you organization's view and you may completely miss out Customers. You may also interview intermediaries like distributors.
