Whole universities and faculties are devoted to the study of one species, called humans. For instance, more than 2/3 of a university is probably devoted to the study and education of one species (human medical, social, agriculture, etc....). This would imply that non-human species are definitely understudied because of (logistic) constraints. Does this imply that the definition of teams/departments dealing with non-human species should not be place-dependent to better handle the complexity of the study of non-human organisms, as for instance expressed in international groups of collaborators not limited to physical constructions called laboratories?
