statement (executed at the beginning of your code) allows you to create a window plot in which there is room for two figures, one on the left and one on the right (if this is what you want). When you give a

plot()

statement, your plot will appear in the left side of the window, leaving some space on the right. At this point, if you run another

plot()

(for another map/graph) then you will see your second plot showing up in the right blank part of the window of plots. Here a quick sample:

Thank you for the answer, but I was not referring to this. I need to create a owin window with an additional mask (from spatstat package), like in the attached image. So I can run a point pattern analysis. I created the mask and the owin windows but when I combine the windows with the GPS points (trees- reav) the marks/observations of the points disappear, (winr-is the window):
