Currently, efforts of biologists aimed to create artificial living objects are mainly focused on using the basic principles of the unicellular life. From other side, researchers who use mathematics and programming for the creating and testing artificial life-like objects, are interested only simple objects that, being immersed in a competitive environment, could test the laws of the Darwinian evolution. By the way, most of the human physiological mechanisms considered to be controllers of the cardiovascular and associated systems, display adaptivity. I think we could better understand both the human physiology and those forms of the pathology that concerned slow (adaptive) shifts in regulatory chains if only we really understood fundamentals of the interaction of our specialized cells. So, to start such kind of investigations, mathematical modeling based on adaptive artificial "multicellular" objects is extremely needed.
