I tried doing it, but it is not working. I am not sure if i am doing it right. When I solve it, I am getting all the modes at 0Hz and negative mass participation factors, which means the system is still unconstrained. I've attached the screenshots of what I am doing, please correct me if something is wrong.
That was very informative. My problem is actually that the body-body connections in ansys are not working for deformable bodies (which is my cable in this case). If I set my cable to rigid body (which is a link at present), the solver output shows no errors but I get 0Hz modes which is conspicuous because the body is then rigid. If I set the cable to deformable body, I get the error as shown in attached screenshot.
I've analyzed the same model in SAP2000 and it is showing me that first 10 modes are elastic.
