How to correct error in spss?
I have ranking data based on 1 ( most imp) o 10( least important). few items is showing a minimum of 2.2. i have error in likert scale data ( 1- 5) , where few items are showing a minimum of 4 . please suggest ways to correct the error.Thanks
I think you should examine the actual distributions of your variables and not just the descriptive statistics. Note that for the Likert-scored items, it is entirely possible that all the scores fell between a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 5.
This is not a problem if you are using validated scales in your study and variables were properly adapted and validated. A problem would be if you observe lack of or high correlation among variables and/or constructs, suggesting problems on your survey instrument or your sample.
