To calculate RUE (Radiation use efficiency) I have taken every day observation of incident, reflected and transmitted PAR with the help of Line quantum sensor. Finally find out intercepted PAR in term of µ mol m-2s-1. .
But my concern is that I have taken a single data of PAR at 1300hrs during whole day. How to convert this per second data to whole day.
any one have a reference of this conversion equation...?
M J m-2day-1 = 0.00078261 µ mol m-2s-1 * BSS
Where, BSS= Bright sunshine hours..........

PAR (µmol m–2 s–1 ) / 4.6 = W m-2
(Following E=hc/λ, conversion factor is wavelength-dependent and averaged for λ=400-700 (PAR) is ~ 4.6)
W m-2 X 0.0864 = MJ m-2 day-1
