I am running a simulink/Matlab simulation on power control where i have to connect and disconnect inverters and loads to/from a microgrid at random while the simulation is running. I tried to use the ideal switches but there were some leakage currents (which i believe was because of the finite Snubber resistance). I made snuffer resistance infinite but then at the time of switching, an error occurred and the simulation stopped. Is there anyway to do what i am trying to do? i.e. To achieve connection and disconnection without leakage currents?
Sir i dont think there is any difference between the ideal switch and the circuit breaker apart from the operation of arcing in the breaker. I think i have found the culprit that requires the presence of snubber. Its the inductor. A sudden connection and disconnection causes a great change in its current which requires the presence of a snubber so that it smoothly overtake in an event of breaking operation. however i still need to remove those leakage currents. Help!!
MATLAB/Simulink has breaker device and you can use it with proper timing
