I am trying to design a diesel synchronous generator in simulink. See the attached image for implementation. I am using a preset model of the synchronous machine rated at 16kVA 400V 50H. However, when i try to find the initial conditions for steafy start start, the machine initialization tool in the power gui issues an error that reads "Unable to find machine initial conditions for the parameters you specified in the machine initialization tool...." it further says to use the load flow tool to initialize the machine but i dont know the initial conditions. Is there anyone who knows whats wrong with this and why is it not initializing or how can i initialize the machine on my own for steady start?
Looks like there is a problem with the powergui block, kindly upload your model as .mdl or .slx files, else we can not help you.
Few remarks or hints. You use a voltage source with rated power of 1000 MVA. You motor have only 16 kVA on 400 V. Did you solve steady state power flow? Did power flow are solve correctly without synchronous generator? You can try with some other type of generator and check firstly this power flow. Maybe you can readjusted your model with some smaller rated power of this cource.
