Hi,

I wanted to conduct a reliability test for questionnaire that i used in my research, and its have "Check all that apply" response type for each questions, for example:

1. Tell the patient about the treatment to family

a. Yes, i did

b. Yes, the other nurse did

c. No, I didn't

d. Not applicable for this patient

And, all question have the same kind of response

I am already trying to code the data in SPSS, by the changing each response to be yes/no question, so if i have 18 question, and after coding it became 72 questions (because each have 4 option)

And coding 1 if the answer is yes and 0 if no

I am already used Cronbach's Alpha test, but the result is not reliable (under 0.7), fyi the respondent i had for this test is 35

So, am i doing right? or maybe Cronbach's alpha is not applicable for this type of questions and share the solution?

Thankyou so much,

Best regards

Elisabeth
