I am simulating a project and I have to run a lot of simulations like calculation of solar fraction at different collector tilt angles. Can anybody tell me how to make a table and get the results in one simulation?
Some solar collectors you can use more than once in TRNSYS. If you choosing one among them then you can use different collector tilt angles.
If you choosing the one which cannt be used more than once in TRNSYS simulation then you can use TRNEdit. it allows to repeat the simulation for different constant parameters. Read TRNEdit documents. It may be helpful for you.
There are different TYPES to present Outputs results. In my opinion you can make a project with the same solar collector type but copy it (depending in how many tilt angles you want to test) and connect the Weather type. After I suggest to use the type that allows to present the results in tables of Excel. Maybe you can use an Equation to estimate the solar fraction before it is send to the Output type. It think is not to difficult to achieve what you looking for. Best luck.
there is a TRNSEdit in TRNSYS, which is suit for the sensetivity/parametric analyse.
You need to define the range and the change step of the parameter, and you will get the desired output. Alternatively you can use an GenOPT, but you need to read a syntax firstly.
Hi Muhammad Shoaib Ahmed Khan , it is quite easy to develop a macro in Excel using some VBA code which will automate the running of TRNSYS simulations, and handle the reading & writing of new deck files, and then the reading of output files back into Excel. This method involves the least amount of manual work once the Excel macro is set up. I teach you how to do this in my new online TRNSYS course available on Udemy.
