I am doing my thesis on dynamic non linear testing of a Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) on FEA (ansys). The main parameters of my thesis is the internal and plastic energy the structure absorbs. I am familiar with how to do mesh convergence tests in static structural, but not for dynamic collisions over a certain time. Has anyone have any knowledge or experience with this?
