peak intensity .... yes they also important but only like as if in the JCPDS file the intensity of a peak is higher than other than it should b in you XRD spectra otherwise there is some impurity in your compound
Some peaks may appear some may not. But the position of the 2theta will not change at all. It will shift only if your material contains some long range stress or macro strain is there. otherwise in case of microstrain the peak will broaden. So, basically if you have a bulk sample(i.e>1000 A) And its stress and strain free, your peak should appear at exact 2 theta position. all peaks may not appear, but whatever are there, the 2 theta will be exact.
And yes if you have a nano system, which inherently have some microstrain involned in it, the shift in peak will be more visible towards higher 2 theta side.
