I have two significant Spearman coefficients from independent groups and I need to compare them. However, one negative (-0.421) and one positive (+0.601). When I apply Fischer's Transform Z test to compare them, do I apply only their modulus values? Or do I need to consider the values in + and -?

I tried to do it both ways and the null hypothesis is now maintained (values in modulus) or rejected (considering the values with -0.421 and +0.601)

I appreciate whoever can help me
