Hi, I conducted multi-level mediation using the MLmed macro in SPSS (Rockwood & Hayes, 2017), separately for older and younger adults. My predictor variable, mediator, and outcome variable were all measured at the lower level (1-1-1 model); but responses were nested within participants (cluster variable). The results showed that the mediator partially explained the relationship between my predictor and outcome both older and younger adults. Is it possible to test whether the indirect effect is greater for the younger adults than the older adults?
