I am have two welds between the same base metals made using GTAW process using two different filler metals. I have post processed the EBSD data and ODF section maps with Euler angle (phi 2) varying from 0 to 90 degrees at a successive interval of 5 degrees has been obtained. I want to compare the texture evolution in both the welds for austenite and ferrite phase. Please suggest some good reference papers/reports/book chapters for the texture evolution study (ODF) analysis in welds specifically made with GTAW process employing filler metal. I am looking specifically for ODF analysis.

A smart and simple way to resolve your problem is to compare pole figures of any origination as follows:
1/ One-dimensional parameterization of them by an appropriate trajectory densely drawn on the upper semi-sphere of unit radius.
2/ Resulting 1D samples of probability densities are specified by cumulative distribution functions (CDF).
3/ The goodness of fit between such CDF is quantified in terms of the known Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.
