I want to know how to combine the techniques of quality function deployment (QFD) and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) such as (fuzzy) AHP, WASPAS, VIKOR, PROMETHEE, etc. in decision-making problems. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this combination?
In my opinion, QFD, using the 'House of Quality Tool', considering only one product and those of competition, determines which is the most important characteristic preferred by people. In reality, it produces the weight of the different characteristics, but this is only for one product or alternative, perhaps, if we consider several products, the QFD could be an input for MACM methods.

Nolberto Munier you stated that "The advantage is that you could have very realistic and objective weights" but if the score of housing matrix is from experts so the weight of "technical requirement" to be subjective weights. Is it right?

As you know the ‘house of quality, is a complex representation that involves six matrices as follows:
1. Client’s requirements: Values are obtained by surveys among potential users of this kind of product
2. Market information: From sales and questioning merchants
3. This matrix describes the product from the manufacturer's point of view with the information provided by the QFD team.
4. This matrix establishes the relationships between customers’ requirements
5. This matrix also called ‘The correlation matrix’, allow investigating the relationships or correlation between technical parameters
6. This is the technical evaluation of the most important aspect in the company’s product
As you can see there is nothing intuitive or assumed here. All data is real
Years ago I developed this theme and fully explained it with an example in a book of mine (Chapter 15), taking as an example a manufacturer of a new portable music player. My book is: Project Management for Environmental, Construction and Manufacturing Engineers, and was published by Springer in 2013. If you are interested, in accordance with my records you can find it in the library of Trung Thanh Tong University.
Therefore you can get weights regarding public preference. If you repeat this procedure for each one of the alternatives or products, you can apply any MCDM method, except AHP and ANP because they provide their own weights
