I am working on coating the surface of an aluminum sheet with carbon quantum dots (CQDs) to create a stable and durable layer. I have tried various methods, such as using APTES, but I am still seeking a reliable approach to ensure strong adhesion that can withstand washing or other mechanical stresses. Could anyone suggest effective strategies or surface modification techniques to achieve a robust and long-lasting bond between the aluminum surface and CQDs?

Carbon dots (CDs), alternatively referred to as carbon quantum dots (CQDs), represent an emerging class of zero-dimensional (0D).
Aluminum alloy should be treated by chemical etching using hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide before being modified with an organic carbon dot (OCD) coating.
This strategy is effective technique to achieve surface modification assisting a strong and durable bond between the aluminum surface and CQDs . In [1] you find a helpful details on the methodology steps.
