The authors used PVA-coated slides in this and other studies, and they are cited by others using these PVA-coated slides. However, I could not find a complete protocol. Could you provide more information for making these slides (times, temperatures, etc.). Easy option is to dissolve PVA or BSA (Bovine Serum Albumin) in activation media. Concentration from 0,1 up to 1% should be sufficient. Depending on the sperm origin.
Backing up the answer above if it helps someone, 1% PVA dissolved in water works pretty good for poeciliid fish sperm as well. Heat and rotate in a stirrer for an hour and then let the solution to be cool down before use. Would be good for reusing as well
