My publications have been wrongly claimed by other ppl and I could not claim it back. Browsed through all the pages/tabs, but still could not find where to make the complain.
People are still visiting this Q&A, here's my way. 1. Use the search bar on top of your home page, and search your stolen paper. Record the paper URL. 2. Click the name (yes, your name) on the author's list. It will give you the URL of the person that claimed your work. 3. Go to researchgate.net/contact ; in the drop-down menu, select "the wrong author is listed as the author of a paper; 4. Provide URLs of your articles, and the URL of the wrong author.
I hope you can resolve the problem. I don't believe it is an honest mistake but a careless mistake at the very least! I'm extremely careful to never share my raw data and I always put an embargo on my research until its published. But contact the staff at RG and they will resolve the problem :)
To be honest, I did not understand the question properly. One can steal someone's work (unpublished) but once the work gets published then it is very difficult for
someone can claim the published work as his or her work. I recollect that one of my friend's work was stolen by his research supervisor and the research supervisor published it as his own work. When my friend came to know about this, he lodged a complaint with the Editor of the Journal. But nothing happened. He complained to the Director of his Institute, an enquiry committee was constituted but again nothing happened. The research supervisor was a very powerful person (Dean) at that time.
My 17 research articles which are published in reputed ISI and Scopus Journals are claimed by one person on RG. I already claimed back the papers but nothing happened. This cannot be a honest mistake, people are doing this purposly. I have nothing on my RG profile. And whenever I am publishing something he is instantly claming my work. This is Strange.

One person by the same name as me has also stole two of my papers. I have written to him and the main author has also written to him requesting to deleted his authorship but he has not done so. This gentleman is from Kashmir from neonatology and is obviously trying to increase his publications number on RG. I believe he has stolen it knowingly and purposely. I have done to reclaim authorship but nothing has happened yet. I think people who steal other papers should be given a stark warning for one paper and if the two for a second time they should be blacklisted. RG will become meaningless if I go and start claiming authorship of everyone that has my name. It is really bad and needs very strong action against such people. Can someone from RG please help?
I uploaded two articles last week. Both were written by me, and uploaded by myself. Someone I never know claimed herself as co-author five minutes later!!
I have politely requested them to remove themsalve from my work. But, they have not done so.
RG should have something that ask the author or someone who upload the article, prior to allow other to claim authorship.
