I have been trying to take images using a stereoscope (Zeiss Stereo Discovery.V8) which comes with the usual AxioVision Software. When I open the AxioCam MRc5 Live window, I usually use the "Best Fit" parameter to take my images. However, there's an option for Linear fit as well and many other options to play with. I never really understood what the fit (curve) actually means (principle) and how to adjust/select (rationale) the parameters for imaging. Can anyone explain this.
Moreover, for selecting exposure I use the "AutoLive" feature and stick to the exposure that it provides. How does one choose the best exposure setting (What's the principle and rationale behind it). I really appreciate your help.
