Hi,

I have a list of variables (15), which I am trying to cluster them. As one of my important variables is categorical, so I am using Two-Step algorithm in SPSS. I also next reduced my variables in view of their multicollinearity. I am using the AICs of varying solutions to choose the optimum one; not sure if this makes sense? More importantly, there is a variable (which can be very informative, as it provides contextual knowledge) removing which from the clustering would significantly enhance the AIC; not sure though if I simply have to remove it for this reason, or retain it for the additional info it may provide. Any thoughts would be highly welcome.
