I am trying to add a new field to the Attributed Table of a raster layer (in TIFF format) in ArcGIS Pro, but the "Add" option in the Attribute Table is greyed out. To clarify, I am not in editing mode. Also, the "Add" option is already active on my shapefiles, and is only off for my raster layers.
PS: In ArcMap it perfectly works! So, I am sure there is nothing wrong with
the Raster.
Update: I tried the Add Field tool in the toolbox and it worked! My guess is this is the way for adding fields to a raster layer. For vector it can be added directly in the attribute table though.

To turn on Add Fields in ArcGIS Pro, follow these steps:
Open the ArcGIS Pro application and navigate to the table you want to add fields to.
Right-click on the table name and select "Design" from the context menu.
This will open the "Fields" view in the Catalog pane on the right-hand side of the screen.
If you don't see the "Fields" view, you can open it by clicking on the "Catalog" tab in the lower-left corner of the screen and selecting "Fields" from the list of available views.
Once you have the "Fields" view open, you can add new fields to the table by clicking on the "Add Field" button at the top of the pane.
This will open a dialog box where you can specify the name, data type, and other properties of the new field.
Once you have filled in the necessary information, click "OK" to create the new field.
Your table should now have the new field available for use.
Thank you Aahed Alhamamy but it still does not work! The following error message displays "Cannot get exclusive schema lock. Either being edited or in use by another application or service." And as I mentioned, I am not in the editing mode, so I have no idea what is going on. Also, I can add fields to my shapefiles; I have this problem with my raster layers only.

You mentioned that you are not in editing mode and are unable to add fields to the raster layer. This may indicate that the raster layer is currently in use by another process, or that there is a permissions issue preventing you from making changes to the data.
To resolve this issue, you may need to identify which application or service is using the raster data, and then either close that application or service or request that the other user completes their editing session. Alternatively, you may need to ensure that you have the necessary permissions to modify the data.
I see your point, but I am left confused as I do not have this data open by any other application (ArcGIS Pro is the only application currently open in machine), and I am the only user of this data; I just produced it myself, so no one else has it to be able to work on it simaltenaously Aahed Alhamamy
To add fields in ArcGIS Pro, try this: right-click the layer in the Contents pane, choose Design, and then click Fields. Good luck.
