Is there any HPLC method for the analysis of metal based organic dyes that are used in DSSC (solar cells) like Iron-porphyrin, Cu-Phthalocyanine?
All porphyrins and phthalocyanines I made could be easily analyzed with NMR and UV-vis spectroscopy. There are a lot of literature and a very useful Handbook of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines about the area.
CuPc is imposible to analyse by RMN. FePc are also quite complicated for NMR.
Cosmosil Column is a good one for HPLC.

subsequently disolve the cuPc in acetic acid and reprecipitate by addtion of water several times. After vacuum drying. The first check by UV-Vis, and then HR-ESI-MS or any other soft mass techniques. MALDI-TOFF is the one of the best in this manner.
you can also use H2SO4 in place of acetic acid and follow the procedure suggested by Abdulrrahman.
