Gebre - There is possibility to put some research reports and publications in community action but not all. Participatory learning and appraisal (PLA) is a technique which involves community action. One of the most important principles in PLA is the sharing of results of analysis, decisions and planning efforts among the community members by open and public presentation during meetings. Thus, it builds up rural and urban people's own capacities for analyzing their circumstances of living, their potentials and their problems in order to actively decide on changes. It helps to discuss and argue about ideas in open forum with all stakeholders and thus gives authority to local people through decentralization and confidence building measures and hence it is an important tool of empowerment.
It is a good discussion here. In translational science/research, it is a good idea to think about translation (transition) from practical to reality. However, not all researches are done for translations. While some immediately reflect in policies esp those ones sponsored by the policymakers, many take decades through several trials before they can be readily available for human use.
Of course possible to use but at least what we do need to be applied to utilization in leadership, services, and system. eg.if we establish Application hub in the world which can monitor and evaluate the published research first applied on community services will enhance the researchers motivation and change the life of individuals, even science development can be also progressively increased. Thank you for all scholars giving suggestions.
To change research into application and into community action is possible to all level and areas. The concrete action to do first is after the collection of data and of course after the formulation of the findings, results, conclusions and recommendations. The researcher should call the proponent of the study i.e. the respondents and those who will further be benefited to the study in a PUBLIC FORUM. From there the community or organization will be guided and directed from the results of the research conducted.... I hope I make sense :)
