I need your help. I have submitted my paper to the "international journal of hydrogen energy" related to ABH3 hydrides and the reviewer asked me to calculate the volumetric capacity. Please guide me, on how to calculate the volumetric capacity of ABH3 perovskite hydrides. I have tried different methods, but I have not been able to get consistent results.

To calculate the volumetric storage capacity of a metal hydride at an atomistic level, you need to know two things: (1) the number of hydrogen atoms, NH, in the metal lattice (2) the volume of the lattice, V. For your case, I guess perovskites hydride ABH3 crystalize in face-centered cubic (FCC), so the number of hydrogen NH=6 and the lattice volume is V=a^3 where a is the lattice parameter. As a result, the volumetric storage capacity=NH*mu/a^3. here you have mu is the atomic mass of a proton, mu=1.66e-27 kg.
To be more practical, let us assume your lattice parameter a=5 Angstron, in this case, the volumetric storage capacity is = 6*1.66e-27/(5e-10)^3=79.68 kgH2/m^3.
