After having the Calibration curve, and you did the spike sample experiment how to calculate the recovery percentages?
The used equation?
You measure the spiked and unspiked concentrations. Take the difference and express it as a proportion of the spike concentration.
% Recovery = 100% x (spike concentration found - unspiked concentration)/(spike + unspike concentration)
Compare the analytical results for the extracted samples at 3 concentrations (lower, medium and higher) with un-extracted standards that represent 100% recovery.
I will select a concentration and hope if you help me with that
Spike concentration of 1 x 1000 cfu/ml and the OD was 0.53287
the caliberation curve equation is y = 0.0668x + 0.3398
R² = 0.9952
so what is the recovery percentages?????
%R= CONC OF SPIKED SAMPLE-- CONC. OF UNSPIKED SAMPLE/CONC OF STD ADDED AND MULTIPLYING THE RATIO BY 100%.
