I am using Cloudsim to measure the quality of service attributes of cloud services. Can anyone tell me how to calculate the current bandwidth and memory utilization of VM and host? I have calculated the current CPU utilization using Power Data Center classes in Power and Power Planet package but I am facing difficulty to compute the bandwidth and memory utilisation or tell me how to use the BwProvisioner class. You can define the following equations to measure the BW and MEMORY utilization of VMs and PMs:
BWutil (VMi) = ( Actual Used BW in VMi / Total BW capacity of VMi ) * 100
BWutil (PMj) = ( Actual Used BW in PMj / Total BW capacity of PMj ) * 100
Notably, Actual Used BW in any PMj is the sum of all Actual Used BW of the VMs hosted in PMj .

I just need a clarification, by "Actual Used BW in VMi" you mean the sum of bandwidth required by all the cloudlets running in that particular VMi, correct me if I misunderstood. Also how do I calculate the actual used used bandwidth of VMi? Shall I use getUsedBw() and getAllocatedBwForVm(Vm vm) methods in BwProvisioner class? Thanks again

Maybe I couldn't get your point. I think you've used Planetlab dataset, as you mentioned the "Power" package.
As you know this data-set just considers the CPU utilization of VMs and there is no consideration for RAM. Hence, in general, there is no way to get the actual memory and BW info .
However, you can easily apply the same approach for RAM Util by defining the same class similar to "UtilizationModelPlanetLabInMemory" and it's gonna work!
For BW case, I do not know what you exactly want to achieve!

CloudSim Plus enables getting the VM's CPU utilisation and has a built-in feature to get the power consumed by a given VM. You can check the following examples:

Thanks for reply. I wanted to select Hosts based on the power consumption difference based on ram. Could you suggest me what factors cause the ram to increase or decrease energy consumption. In examples i could find the cpu utilization varies based on mips. Thanks in advance
It's not clear what you mean. I don't know any study that shows the relation between RAM utilisation and power consumption. On the other hand, there are lots of studies showing the relation between CPU utilisation and power consumption.

I am increasing the ram usage of vms to trigger vm migration. After the triggering of migration i want to select suitable Hosts baesd on power consumption to place them. I want to calculate the power consumed by Hosts. Could you suggest any method or formula to calculate the power consumed by Hosts based on rams. Thank you
Unfortunately, I don't know any research that shows the relation between RAM and power consumption.
