I am using CO2 laser with beam diameter 0.3mm and max power 100W with continuous and focused beam. for example I want to perform my experiment with 6000mm/sec scanning speed and 60W power with different passes.
Here I want to calculate fluence j/cm2 (or) j/m2 which is power(W)/ scanning speed * spot diameter.
But I am not sure of how to calculate spot diameter theoretically.
Any help/answers are much appreciated.

The output of the laser beam is probably in the form of Gaussian waves. Therefore, the shape of the spot probably also has a Gaussian profile. Therefore, finding a relationship for the intensity of laser Gaussian beams can be helpful. Chapter 3 of The 'Fundamentals of Photonics, 2nd Edition' , written by Bahaa E. A. Saleh, examines the relationships of Gaussian rays of light in detail.

You also need to know laser beam quality M2, lens focal length, and then you can calculate the size of the laser spots through the following formula.
2w0=4*M2*λ*f/π*D.
