I am doing experiment on electrocoagulation. For variation in current and voltage used DC power supply. which takes input from AC supply convert to DC supply and able to regulate the voltage for electrocoagulation reactor. Is the voltage and current at input of DC supply or output of DC supply will be used for determination of specific energy consumption calculation. Will the AVO meter used for checking voltage, current and resistance from AC ( Alternating current) supply or DC (Direct current) voltage supply can be used for specific energy consumption calculation. The formula for specific energy consumption calculation is
SEC = Voltage (Voltage)X Current (Ampere) X time (hours)x 1000/ ( Initial concentration of pollutant- final concentration of pollutant)mg/liter x Volume of wastewater treated (liter).
To calculate the specific energy consumption in kWh/kg of pollutant removal for electrocoagulation process, you can use the following formula:
Specific energy consumption = (Total energy consumption in kWh) / (Mass of pollutant removed in kg)
To calculate the total energy consumption, you can use the following formula:
Total energy consumption = (Applied voltage in volts x Current in amps x Electrolysis time in hours) / 1000
The mass of pollutant removed can be determined by analyzing the influent and effluent samples for the pollutant of interest, and multiplying the concentration difference by the volume of water treated.
Once you have calculated the specific energy consumption in kWh/kg of pollutant removal, you can use this value to compare the energy efficiency of different electrocoagulation systems or to optimize the operating parameters to minimize energy consumption while maintaining the desired level of pollutant removal.

In My experiment using DC Power supply which have only capacity to set voltage given to electrocoagulation setup. so How we can measure current pass through our electrocoagulation system so that we can use in formula for electrocoagulation.
