I would like to ask a question regarding soil structure interaction.
I have some piles which are primarily supported by weak rock and skin friction is the main form of support with a very low1000kPa allowable end bearing constribution.
My skin friction is calculated roughly at a rate of 100kN/m2 of weak rock and the pile is embded 10m in to weak rock. To model the soil structure interaction, how can I model the soil springs for skin friction here? Could you please point me towards some relevant literature which I can use to convert this skin friction in to a vertical soil spring?

Which software are you using to analyse your problem, why i asked this question, nowadays to simulate soil behaviour by soil spring gone..we use advanced continuum model to simulate this type of problem using any geotechnical based software. But, the spring constant for soil and rock need to be estimated by conducting plate load test..I recommend you to download the lecture material titled 'Modelling of soil behaviour' by Sarvesh Chandra..you will get more in details of your topic related questions..all the best in your research..
