I have used Lowry method to calculate protein content in fish muscle. Briefly, 5% tissue homogenate is prepared in 0.25 M sucrose. Centrifuged and the supernatant is used for analysis. 0.1 mL of tissue homogenate is taken in 1 ml of 10% TCA and the further process is as per the lowry method. I have calculated the protein concentration using the formula

conc. of unknown=(conc. of known/ OD of known)* OD of unknown.

The result I found is on microgram/mL.

How to convert this result in mg/g of the tissue.

One result I found was 1.33 microgram/mL
