I am a graduate research student working on Digital Based Packed bed generation. I have generated a packed bed of spheres using a digital packing algorithm. I could get the mean empty space of packed bed in the directions of x,y,z from the simulation results. But, I need the total porosity of the bed. So can anyone try to help me on how to convert those average mean empty space to values to global bed porosity? Attached is the excel file of Mean empty space(MES) of packed bed consisting of 950 spheres and MES (x,y,z values) are in 3,4,5 rows.
