I have some oxidized biochar samples using several methods from literature. Was wondering how I can correspond the carbon content of the oxidized biochar to calculate the residence time (years) of my biochar in the soil.
Thank you. In fact I made some changes to the method proposed by Cross & Sohi (your last paper). They stated that based on their calculation the method is equivalent to 50-100 years of ageing. They also provide the supplementary material that I have difficulty to understand.
If you are familiar with what they did and how they estimated the MRT based on Lehmann's study, please let me know.
