Normally, the AE of a single nutrient such as N is calculated as:
AE of N= (yield in N fertilized - yield in control)/ kg of fertilizer used
If we use different levels of NPK in different treatments, how we compare the AE of different treatments instead of AE of N, P & and K separately.
It may be elaborated as follows:
T1= Control
T2= N-P-K (100-50-50)
T3: N-P-K (125-60-60)
T4: N-P-K (150-70-70)
How would I calculate AE of NPK for T2, T3 & T4?
Thats a tough ask , honestly speaking..Agronomic efficiency , you can calculate based on total NPK but i doubt thats possible sumultaneously for more than one nutrient...

AE= (kg grain / kg nutrient added) (According to Novoa and Loomis, 1981, Plant & Soil)
On the basis of the above formula,
AE of T2= grain yield (kg)/ 200
T3= grain yield (kg)/ 245 and so on....
The standard formula of autonomic efficiency (AE) is as follows.
AE = (Y - Y0)/F, where
Y= crop yield with fertilizer applied. Y0= crop yield no application of fertilizer, F= Quantity of fertilizer applied.
Another method of calculating FUE is there by applying recovery efficiency (RE ) of nutrients. Formula :
RE= (U-U0)/F, where,
U= total nutrient uptake in above ground crop biomass with nutrient applied, U0= total nutrient uptake in above ground crop biomass with no nutrient applied, F= amount of fertilizer nutrient applied.
