Good News! We really need such an apparatus in our university. It's good you are working on this project to construct one of them. For this reason I searched a lot and found it as a very complete reference. I know it will be one of your main reference because it can clear many of the dark points for you. You know that this apparatus is UF set up at lower pressure and RO set up at higher (more than 15 bars).

I am working on the RO project. We use a stainless steel “Dead end cell" to test RO membrane, a circle RO membrane (with diameter about 4 cm) can be tested in this setup. The highest pressure can reach to 40 bar, normally the pressure for testing brackish RO membrane is 15 bar. Using this setup, you also need a gas cylinder to provide pressure.

If you want to a cross-flow RO testing setup, normally it is square size (about 5*10 cm). Most studies use cross-flow setup to test RO. It is also can be found in this company.
