In laser-inducd breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) experiment, argon flow often used to avoid the effects of air. But I found when argon gas blows across the surface of the sample, the spectral become unstable with lager spectral fluctuation. So, I wonder if there is any way to solve this problem.

Here, we have used a vacuum chamber with a "static" filling of argon at defined pressure (i.e., evacuation of the chamber followed by filling with argon up to a desired pressure instead of permanent flushing by an argon gas flow). You can use a simple air chamber, such as an open plastic box or glass jar.
