The 1st SCAR Antarctic and Southern Ocean Science Horizon Scan (attached file) is a document prepared by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) which concludes through 80 questions. The #57 in the Antarctic Life on the Precipice section is about the response of intertidal communities and shows as follows:
57. How will increases in the ice-free Antarctic intertidal zone impact biodiversity and the likelihood of biological invasions?
Is there any researcher that has been using certain sampling protocol to assess this question? I'm asking because I could replicate that same biological (macrozoobenthic) sampling protocol in the Mackellar Inlet (the central glaciomarine fjord of King George Island, Antarctic Peninsula) to expand the spatial resolution.
