How to assess the disturbance categories as an impact factor, and how to quantify the types of disturbances? Kindly suggest me different ways of assessment and study. If possible please send me some related articles.
I think this question does not seems plain enough.
This work may be of interest to you:
Fisher, J. I., Hurtt, G. C., Thomas, R. Q., & Chambers, J. Q. (2008). Clustered disturbances lead to bias in large‐scale estimates based on forest sample plots. Ecology Letters, 11(6), 554-563.
I think you should clarify a little bit your interest in disturbances. I guess the location is obviously set - the tropical forest (fragmented tropical forest), but you should be more specific on your main focus. We could speak about natural or anthropogenic disturbances, but we could also focus on different aspects such as frequency/return interval or magnitude/severity of disturbance. We could also categorize disturbances based on their targeted structures or effects.
