Hi all.
Currently, I am doing micro valve analysis which contains two inlets. the conditions I have to apply in those inlet are different flow rate with varying time.
For example,
Inlet-1 = 8 ul/min mass flow rate from 0-3 seconds.
inlet-2 = 4 ul/min mass flow rate from 3-6 seconds.
My question is whether I have to create UDF to solve this or any default option is available in Fluent.

I think you can either try to run unsteady simulation first with 1st inlet boundary for 3 seconds and than redefine boundary condition for 2nd inlet and let it run for another 3 seconds. Or the UDF should be also way to do it for whole 6 second of unsteady simulation. Good luck.
If I understand your question correctly, you have only one inlet for each 3s, so, one inlet in whole simulation with two different position and time. just run unsteady simulation as:
- for 0-3 seconds define "Inlet-1" as inlet Bc with 8 ul/min and "inlet-2" as wall BC.
- for 3-6 seconds redefine "Inlet-1" as wall Bc and "inlet-2" as inlet BC.with 4 ul/min.
This way is only correct if you dont concern about valves closing/opening effects, otherwise you need to define UDF.
Thank you very much for your reply, I have to capture valve opening and closing. i think varying boundary conditions for different time step do not help for this analysis.
