The best way to do this is following methods rather than making annotation table
To do this, start a new BankIt when you get to the Features Tab, select "Add features by completing input forms".
After then select the radio button for Coding Region (CDS)/Gene/mRNA. Followed by Add CDS by providing intervals then Click Add.
Complete the fill the form with appropriate details of gene and be sure to click Nucleotide interval spans "Entire Sequence" (BUT only if the feature spans the entire length of each sequence in the set) otherwise, only put the nucleotide base spans that comprise your coding region.
Make sure that for the section "Sequences that have this feature" All is selected (unless all the sequences in the set are not going to have the same feature or are partial on a different end(s).
Indicate partial(s) (incomplete at the 5' and/or 3' ends) of the sequence if you only have a partial coding region.
Enter Protein name and any other information that you have.
Be careful and don't click the submit button if bankIt indicates errors, or you'll have to start over and resubmit again. At this stage you'll need to check the annotation to make sure it is correct then finish the submission.
