I want to analyze thermal stress due to sliding friction between two bodies in Ansys WB and also resulting change in temperature at the mating surfaces.
I have not done in ANSYS before, but it is done in LS-DYNA using coupled thermal-structural analysis. If LS-DYNA is part of WB as I hear, you could do it. You need to select material models that have both thermal and mechanical properties. The key is to adjust integration time steps for thermal and structural analysis. I think I have an example but I need to locate it.
you can do this analysis in ansys Wb module called Structure and dyanmic structure. and you can also do analysis in CFx module of flow
hi Hassan, in ansys workbech you should write a command about friction contact.

ok hassan, but when you use solid element , you should friction compatibles option.
