My supervisor told me that to have a good mark on thesis, I must know how to analyze a result and look at its problem and make a good written report. He told me that there are some people who have extremely good simulation or experimental result, but they did not get good mark because they lack analytical and writing skills.
I need tips or advices on how to develop good analytical skills.
All I know is that I need to really understand my thesis (i.e. reading textbook, journal articles etc.) so that I could understand why my results are not going the way as aI expected.
You are actually on the right track. Good writing always starts with good reading. You need to have a thorough literature review on your area of research. Look on the similarities and differences of your results to previous findings, as well as the methodologies used.

I would like to know as well how to analyze it if my methods that I am using are actually new? ( I.e. less or no people are using the method)
