I'm trying to use ultrasonic bath to disperse AgNP in photorcurable polymer matrices(Polyurethane-acrylate, 600cp) and break down its aggmoleration. Our lab has ultrasonic bath(28kHz, 1.8 lit ) and horn type sonicator as well. Due to several reasons, I want to use bath type instead of horn type. My questions are,
1) In my guess, a container(ex.centrifuge tube) where I put nanocomposite must weaken the sonic wave a lot(damping). Does it still work for nanoparticle diseprsion ?
2) If there is any person who did similar process, could you give me an adivce or detail protocol?
